Guest guest
Hello everyone, I a 29 yr. old mother of three that had an ectopic in Jan. 2000. We were planning for our fourth child and conceived right away after I stopped taking the pill. The pregancy was going fine until my first prenatal visit & sonogram, when my right tube literally ruptured on the examining table. It has totally devastated me because I have never lost a pregnancy or child nor have I ever had any trouble conceiving. I've never had any medical history of any kind that would affect my tubes or reproductive organs. The doctor just tells me that it was a " freak of nature " situation or a random act of nature in my particular case since I've never had any previous medical concerns and that I'm young, fertile, & fine and just try again. Well I'm scarred as hell because I trusted him when he said that this recent pregnancy was just fine but was ectopic and has left me with just my left tube. I feel like something is wrong with me and my remaining tube as well, eventhough they said the left tube looked fine along with my ovaries and uterus. Could this ectopic have just happened and how do I know that it is ok for me just to try again. My doctor does not recommend a HSG for me because of my past history of three normal pregnancies, & based on the fact that I've never had any medical concerns, but I'm still afraid to trust anything that he says. Are his reasons even good enough for not suggesting I have an HSG? Is there anyone that has experienced a situation similiar to mine that can give me some advice and/or opinions on it. I am so confused and afraid yet I desperately want more children. Please help............
