Guest guest
Listen to Dolores! Three months after my diagnosis and getting nothing from my neuro, I joined a wellness program. It was the best! Sensible eating and reasonable exercise that I did faithfully for three years. There was a lot of vitamin therapy under the watchful eye of a nutritionist. I believe in vitamins and supplements, but I don't think we should self medicate. If I don't know what I am doing, I am not going to start taking a bunch of stuff because the catalog says it will "do this" or "do that". I want a little guidance before I put stuff in my mouth. That's not always a guarantee, but safer than just doing. I drank gallons of water, walked miles, and ate healthy food. The biggest thing was cutting out fat and sugar and adding fiber. Basically, I tried to eat as I always had by making the fat/sugar modifications. To eat healthy, try shopping the outer perimeter of the store, i.e., fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, meat poultry, fish, and dairy. Anyway, what I am trying to say is, that I totally believe the wellness program is why my condition is as good as it is almost twelev years after my diagnosis. So, listen to Dolores. Eat well, be careful with the unkown, use moderation and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If there were anything close to a cure we wouldn't be writing these messages. We'd be somewhere running, jumping and shouting for joy. Ronnie Grove
