Had Thyrogen scan last week. Scan was negative. Thyroglobulin was

2.7, antibodies negative, TSH 20. TSH seems low to me. My Tg was

2.1 two years ago with a TSH of 65 when I went hypo for my last

scan. My thyroglobulin while taking Synthroid has always been

negative - again in 1/02.

Any input/info/advice appreciated! My endo is out of town for two

more weeks. (I'm thinking maybe Thyrogen and bloodwork again in 6

months - but I'm not the MD.)

4/99 thyroidectomy- papillary carcinoma, 6/99 60 miCu RAI, 2/00 hypo

scan negtive - Tg 2.1, 3/02 Thyrogen scan negative- Tg 2.7

The TSH is usually very high the day after the second thyrogen shot (i.e.,

about 200 in my case), but after that it declines rather quickly. So

whether you should be concerned about your TSH of 20 depends on how long

after receiving thyrogen your blood was drawn for that TSH assay. In any

event do discuss your concerns with your physician. Also, ask him why you

have any TG at all and what that could mean.

Good Luck,
