last child. I'm 36 and this will be my third c-section, the doctor

doesn't recommend I have anymore. I am extremely fortunate to have

Jo-Ann,

Thanks for your encouraging words. It is so nice to meet all of you. In

answer to your question, no, my tube was not removed. Since I didn't rupture

and I told him that I wanted to have more children, he left it in and

repaired it. The surgeon was supposed to be very good (a micro-surgeon

fertility specialist) so I thought I would trust him if he thought it could

work again. He said that he could see no reason why my ectopic happened

because both tubes were in good shape. He gave me about a 10% chance of

having another ectopic since he thought even my right tube would probably be

fine. Gee, if I could just keep repeating this to myself, maybe I could

relax!

It's nice to know someone else who is due in December! If all goes well, I

will be due on the 23rd. Although, I'm always so darned late, I probably

won't deliver til January! LOL.

Since you had your tube out (a situation that I have been envious of in past

weeks!), maybe this question wouldn't apply to you, but did you have any

post-surgical pain during the 1st part of your pregnancy? I get these

twinges in all different places along my tube. They don't hurt very much and

they go in a second or two. But of course they worry me that something's

wrong. Of course, I had these same types of twinges last month when I got my

period too, so hopefully, it doesn't mean anything.

I actually took a pregnancy test AFTER I got my period last month just to

make sure that it wasn't another fake-out like I had when I had my ectopic.

Kirsten,

I have had strange pains, but mostly on the left side where I still have

a tube. It really freaked me out in the beginning. I have the

occasional pain in my right side too which is even stranger considering

there is no tube there. So who can figure out the human body? LOL

I did have a pg in between this one and the ep, so that was a comfort to

know it got through the remaining tube once before.

How much longer until you can have an u/s? Hope to hear from you soon.

Big hugs,

Jo-Ann

Jo-Ann,

Thanks! Yes, these little pains are what threatens to drive me over the

edgeI LOL.

Anyway, I'm going for an ultrasound TODAY at 1:00. I am at 5 1/2 weeks, so I

don't know whether they'll see a heartbeat. But they should at least be sure

that the little guy's where he should be. I am so nervous it is

unbelievable. I will let you all know what happens.
