Guest guest
Hi everyone -- I am due to begin going hypo for my first TBS sometime in March. Three days ago I began experiencing severe flank pain in my right side that feels like a kidney infection (I've had repeated infections in the past that have left me with only 5% function in that kidney). I see the doctor tomorrow and I'm sure she'll schedule an IVP. It has been about 12-15 years since my last IVP and I'm wondering if they are still done with Iodine contrast? If so, is there an alternative to the Iodine? If no alternative, is it too close to my TBS to have an x-ray done with an iodine contrast? This issue confuses me and I'd like to go in fully informed. I appreciate any input you can give. Thank you.
