This was a first..

Nada and Fada have been behaving themselves lately...we were 99% NC but

because more things than need to be explained, the dynamix have changed and

we are now in a situation where a large group of my family has been forced

to spend time together....for as brief as spells as I can possibly arrange.

(Basically it is the fallout of her burning down my cousin's restaurant,

sending him into financial ruin and now he has been forced to move out here

and needs all hands on deck to help him out of Illiois)

So my fada who knows absolutely nothing about computers but maintains that

he knows everything, asked me last night to take a look at his computer, he

had asked my husband to come fix it but it didn't meet my father's

impossible standards. (Impossible mostly because he wants perfection yet

doesn't know what perfection is...all he knows is that whatever anybody does

is wrong.) Now here is the positive thing about fada...while he is BPD, you

can have an INTELLIGENT arguement with him and I have learned that when he

gets in his BPD mode and starts into me I simply treat him like a child and

it works...why? Because I am consistant with him.

So I am fixing his computer and he is yelling and screaming at me like a

crazy person. I looked at him and said " you have until the count of 3 to be

quiet and sit in that chair or I am not helping you...1....2.... " Sure as

the world he sat down and shut his trap. Well I started to fix his computer

and he started lighting into me again. I stopped and said " you asked me to

fix this, if you don't think I know what I am doing then perhaps you should

have someone else do it....is that what you want? " He sat, actually pouted

and said " no " . With that he started mouthing off again and I merely said

" this is your last warning, you will speak to me with respect, you will not

raise your voice to me and you will not argue with me. If I didn't have to

deal with your tantrums I could have this fixed in 3 clicks " . With that,

enters Nada (oh boy). 3 clicks, I did a simple system restore and it was

back to running the way he wanted. He nastily said " well, is it fixed " ? I

said, re-start it and you tell me. Yep, sure enough it was back and running

and he actually said " thank you " . As I was leaving he said " what did you

do " ? I said " A system restore " . He got mad and yelled " Well I could have

done that! " I said " then why didn't you " . As I reached for the door nada

stopped me in my tracks because I was laughing. She screamed at me " Oh, I'm

glad you think it's so funny....he's treated me like shit for a week, and I

don't think it's a bit funny. " I simply said yes...to me it is funny....to

watch very grown up people act the way he does is funny...because his

actions are completely ridiculous. " She threw something at the door after I

left and yelled to me that she was going to call the police.

<Yes....is this the police? I'd like you to please come and arrest my

horrible daughter. She came to my house and had the nerve to have an opinion

that I did not give her permission to have.>

I don't know if she did or not...lol....she probably did and they probably

laughed too!!
