Guest guest
Hmmm...please read what you wrote. You said the original dose was 20mg but after one reduction you were taking 130 mg. The question I'm asking is what dose were you originally taking before beginning the decreases? It appeas that it was 140 mg. if your percentages on the decreases is correct. Please let me know. See below your writing here for more. <<YOU SAID:In order to answer your question about what dose of Prozac you should be taking to bring your body back to a stable condition, I need to know your original dose. ANSWER;ORIGINAL DOSE WAS 20 MG PER DAY. Chances are you'll need to go back to the original dose as 10mg a week is much too fast of a withdrawal. I ACTUALLY GOT THAT WRONG IN MY LETTER TO YOU. IVE BEEN GETTING MIXED UP LATELY. I DECREASED 10 MG EVERY 3 WEEKS. I SEE NOW HOW IT WAS COMPLETELY DONE WRONG. BUT ANY WAY THAT WAS (BUT YOU KNOW THIS ALREADY): 7% DECREASE THE FIRST WEEK, TO 130MG PER WEEK (OCT OR NOV 2007) 7.6% THE 3RD WEEK,TO 120 8.3% THE 6TH WEEK,TO 110 9% THE 12TH WEEK, TO 100 10% THE 15TH WEEK TO 90 11% THE 18TH WEEK TO 80 12% THE 21ST WEEK TO 70, THEN I SLOWED DOWN TO EVERY 5 WEEKS DECREACE 14% THE 26 TH WEEK TO 60 ( THIS WAS WHEN I GOT SICK) 16% THE 31 TH WEEK TO 50 THIS IS WHEN I WENT BACK TO 70 MG A WEEK, LIKE ONE 10MF PER DAY AND THAT WAS mAY 21 OR 9 WEEKS AGO... NOT EXACTLY 5% AND I MADE NO EVALUATION OF MY CONDITION WHEN DECIDING WHEN TO DO THE NEXT REDUCTION.>> ** THis is a huge amount of Prozac. While your intial decreases were not too large, by waiting only a week each decrease rolled into the next so by time you hit the 3rd decrease yiou were only then beginning to feel the first two. This means that you were basically doing a 20 mg decrease all at once. What was the last dose you were taking where you felt completely well? Guest guest
Dear , im so sorry,..the dose is 20mg a day. that adds up to 140 mg for a week. i go to that weekly number because that's how i figuered my decrease of dose, i didn't figurer it on the daily dose. when i decreased the dose i stopped taking one 10 mg tablet EACH WEEK, and then did a decrease 3 weeks later of one less 10 mg tablet a week for 3 weeks.etc...im so sorry. patty
Guest guest
** Let's talk about it in terms of a daily dose. It keeps things clearer and simpler. People will read your posts and not understand what you're saying. Thanks. The fact remains that you did each decrease too quickly. What now is the DAILY dose you are taking?
