It may refer to " neurological disorders like disfiguring facial and

whole body tics, indicating potential brain damage. Tics may be

facial like fly-catcher-tongue-darting or chewing-the-cud jawing or

involve the whole body like involuntary pelvic thrusting. These tics

are disfiguring, untreatable, and permanent in up to 50% of

cases. " (p. 11 Prozac Backlash, ph Glenmullen) The book deals

with most all antidepressants or SSRIs. Physicians' Desk Reference

lists " extra pyramidal syndrome " as neurological side effect of

SSRIs, a technical term for four closely related neurological side

effects, including tics. Also listed as side effects in literature

enclosed with drug. Abnormal movement of mouth, jaw, and tongue are

most common form of tics. There's lots more in Dr. Glenmullen's book

as well as in his The Antidepressant Solution and Dr. Breggin's

Your Drug May Be Your Problem.

** has listed specific extra-pyramidal symptoms. These do fall under

the heading of sensory disturbance, but they are only a few of the symptoms that

can fall under the broad term " sensory disturbance " . Basically, any nervous

system disturbance that affects the senses is is a sensory disturbance.
