Guest guest
Kerrie, I saved this post, because I wanted to write back on something that you asked Stacey M. You said that your doctor gave you three options: Remove tube, remove blockage, IVF, right? This is just my two cents: removing a blockage (as you probably already know) is a tricky situation. It doesn't always insure that the " problem " has been solved, and if the blockage requires any cutting or burning, adhesions can form making the problem worse. If you end up needing IVF, removing the tube won't be of much assistance, nor will removing the blockage (unless a hydrosalpinx is present, which can prove toxic to a pg). There is only about a 2% chance of ectopic with IVF, and that goes for everyone-regardless of past ectopic history...Pretty cool, eh? That is why we chose to do IVF. If you have any questions about it, please feel free to ask... Take care, Krista
