Guest guest
Here is a basic review of my story. I was on all different combinations of over 20 different psychiatric medications (SSRIs, benzos, antipsychotics, anticonvulsants) for almost 10 years. I received tons of psychiatric labels...bipolar, schizophrenic etc. I took a chance in late 2006 to come off of all medications. In summer 2007 I was finally off of everything. Since then I discovered that it was definitely the medications causing of all of my bad symptoms. I've been off of the meds for approximately 15 months. Current bad symptoms * no libido / PSSD * little motivation * moderate lack of energy * stiff muscles * bruxism * lack of emotion * inability to cry Current supplements * vitamin c * fish oil My diet is pretty good. I eat a lot of protein because I am training at the gym to put on size. I drink lots of water and I avoid caffeine and fast food. I am not sure what to do in order to improve my situation now. After reading the files section, I see that there are some things I have not tried such as goatein / neurooptimizer. What would you suggest for someone in my situation in order to get even better? Guest guest
** Zant, did you look at the info you received when you joined? Your case is far from simplwe and is not the kind of case I handle initially via email. You came off the drugs very quickly -- too quickly. I'd be glad to do a private consultation with you about this. To find out more about that, go to the FILES on the group site and look for a folder titled 's Consultation Info. There is a History form to fill out and other info that explains to you how consultations work. Regards, > Here is a basic review of my story. Guest guest
, personally it took me 8 months to withdrawl from Prozac, I dumped it out of the capsule little by little. Then something happened at my job and in my low-income housing, and the next doc said let's try Paxil, that was in 1996, I sued Glaxco because I can't get off of it, I saw 2 shrinks, they both scolded me because I made such a big deal out of it, saw 60 Minuets on TV and realized at least I was in my 50's and was 'stuck' on it and many people in their earlier years can't get off of it. One thing that helped me feel better as I tried to taper off the Paxil was Reliv, a powdered nutritional product out of St. Louis Missouri, it helped me with focus and depression, it sure did. I don't advise anyone listening to anything a doc has to say about tapering off Paxil or any other psche drug, they can't even imagine can they, what is is like. Recently I cared for retarded people, I met a gal, whose doctor actually decided to try another drug, and basically took her off Paxil in a way as to make her try to cut her wrists, she is fine now, but she told me how horrible it was, she is mildy retarded and is an adult, I knew it was horrid for her, but, she had no rights, they simply tapered her off in the standard way. Glaxco did not tell the US caretakers about the percentage of people who would have a difficult time tapering off Paxil, thus the lawsuit was available to thousands of people in US and actually globally. It's basically reformatted my brain, I have no desire to do much, it's taken my edge, I just live my life the best I can. It was needed and was helpful, but in such a short time I just couldn't taper off so the docs, both medical and shrinks said I needed it.
