Guest guest
Hello , Just received my blood work results and the reading of my Hemoglobin A1c is 5.5%; the note says normal range 4.8 - 5.9 Does this mean I am indeed pre-diabetic? Will following the paleo diet bring the number down or just keep what I am now under control? Polly>> ** There's nothing wrong with that number, Polly. It is your other symptoms that indicate a need to do a paleo-type diet. You will never be able to eat massive quantities of carbs. But nobody should. --C > > I know I'm overweight, but my stomach is sooooo distended on a regular > basis; sheesh, it looks like I'm pregnant! You can Google this term for more info. Basically, the diet is no carbs except those found in vegetables. No white foods. You would eat lots of fresh veg, and meat, and small amounts of low glycemic fruits. This is the only way to correct your condition. This is sometimes also referred to as carbohydrate intolerance. > > -- C >
