Hi ,

I am sorry to hear about Mickey. I am trying to be tough myself i will be putting mine down in the next few days also hes almost 13 and been with me through all this as well.I just cant handle him any more hes snapping and driving me nuts.Hes not all that well either losing his teeth and got stomache issues and i cant stand the smell of him.I dont want him near me and its not fair to push him away like this.I have made up my mind but i keep crying about it because hes still here hubby said after the first. This is an awful feeling but it cant go on like this.

Oh, , I'm sorry. When I went through that ordeal the vet said

something to me that I want to pass on to you:

" [Euthanizing your dog]...a gift to this animal who has given you so

much for her whole life. You are ending her suffering and fear; you

are taking care of her; you're here with her...It's the best gift you

can give an animal who is suffering with no hope of relief. "

I truly believe that the relationship you have with your animal can be

as deep and as valuable as those you have with humans. I'm glad you

two found each other and I'm sorry for your loss.

Hey Jay, I haven't posted here in a few years so I'm not sure if you

remember me, I joined the group around the same time you did. I just

saw this post and wanted to say my heart goes out to you in your time

of need.

entergetic, and obedient at some point in their lives.
