Guest guest
I've been seeing a therapist for 2 1/2 years now. It's been good. I was lucky to find someone very aware of BPD. She really helped keep me on track when I was weakening. Yesterday, she told me that she'll be dropping my insurance company & if I continue, her rates will skyrocket. In many ways I feel like I've gone as far as I can go with her anyway. I'm sensing also a bit of separation anxiety and/or abandonment issues...(which kind of surprised me). I know that we can turn therapists into parent substitutes. Somehow I didn't think that I had done this...yet here I am feeling sad and a bit worried about " going it on my own " . I really did like having that 45 minutes per week to vent. Can anyone recommend any other forms of therapy... or other empowering things we can do for ourselves on a regular basis?
