Guest guest
Wow, thanks for this! I was wondering why some of my Pyrex measuring cups were starting to chip. I also had two baking pans shatter (NOT fun). :-( At least now we know. I'm going to keep my eyes open for vintage (pre-1998) Pyrex. Here's a good site on how to tell vintage Pyrex (what it looks like) and where to buy it: http://www.pyrexlove.com/ http://www.pyrexlove.com/vintage-pyrex-pattern-guide/ http://www.pyrexlove.com/where-to-buy-vintage-pyrex/ Ann Marie On Apr 24, 2008, at 9:56 AM, Sharon son wrote: > FWIW, dug up information that Pyrex is plain old everyday soda-lime > glass, > no longer containing borosilicate. Guest guest
Thanks, Ann! Pyrex, fwiw, still makes their labware with borosilicate, so my kitchen is going to start to take on the look of a science lab.
