Guest guest
Coffee is an adrenal stimulatant- that's the pickup you get from it. Quitting coffee really jump-started my adrenal healing; I started to have much more enduring day-long energy after omitting my morning habit. While you're cutting out the adrenal stimulant, it is helpful to add in some adrenal support to get you over the dependeancy hump. Try subsituting sea salt and natural vitamin C (a few grams) or sodium ascorbate in the a.m. and add extra animal fat to your diet. These days I have coffee as a once a week treat; my husband still drinks it so sometimes I succumb to the smell. I agree about coffee and alone time. . .. . the smell takes me back to years in coffee houses, when I had time to be alone with my thoughts rather than now, when I don't have the time for one complete thought (the toddler is nursing as I type this) . . . .
