Guest guest
Also, I think perhaps there is some chemistry confusion here. In the instance of organic vs. inorganic iodine, the terminology refers to a molecule of iodine bound to carbon atom(s), as opposed to what <organic> might euphemistically mean, ie, naturally occurring iodine. So it's the inorganic iodine that is often safer - and the organic iodine is found in pharmaceutical preparations. http://iodine4health.com/ortho/ortho.htm The author of the blog you linked to is right that many people believe the iodate in table salt poisonous- this link is a research abstract http://iodine4health.com/special/chemistry/burgi_chemistry.htm - but at high doses or taken intravenously. . . .but I don't think your blog author has much of a technical grasp of the situation with iodine, which would be a red flag for me about other questionable assertions s/he might make on other topics.
