Guest guest Posted May 9, 2008 Report Share Posted May 9, 2008 Ever since I moved to where I am living now, 2 and a half years ago, I have been wondering what to do about the water dilemma. My situation is not conducive to an elaborate water filter so an alternative to buying bottled water is filling up a container from one of those giant filters at the grocery store. I am the type of person who can get caught up on the details, unfortunately, and since I couldn't find a consistent answer on what type of plastic container to use, I just forgot about the whole thing. Then finally it struck me yesterday to just use my gallon glass jars that I have for my kombucha fermentaion. I have no idea why I have never thought of this before. I feel like the stupidest person in the whole wide world, like this could win me a contest somewhere. The only problem is that I don't have a lid. Does anyone know where I can get a lid to a gallon jar? I spent 45 minutes on the internet looking for jar lids and can't find them for what I have.
