Guest guest
Water may be the universal solvent, but that doesn't mean its the best solvent for everything. Fermented things contain a wide variety of acids and can dissolve many things much better than water alone...a good example being kombucha. The acids bind and assist many toxins out of the body. Not saying that water fasting doesn't work, I do believe it could in many cases but you will rarely see an animal in nature starve itself. If it is poisoned it will seek out the proper herb to chew on and sometimes make itself vomit afterward, and many animals will also eat clay to absorb toxins. Parrots even eat toxic seeds/nuts with clay just so they can utilize that food source without negative effects. So I certainly believe there are many paths to wellness, and I think the most important thing is not overeat and build up undigested crud in your intestines. Fasting may help to get your body to produce enough enzymes to finally break down that build up, which would be great. The only problem with fasting that I personally have is that it can be horrendous if you have mercury problems...and many people I've talked to have gone downhill after a fast with mercury toxicity and take a long time to recover from it, if they ever even do completely. So water may be the universal solvent but fasting may not be the universal answer to toxins. - > > Hi, > > Nothing works better than pure water, thats why they call water the universal solvent. To expell the internal toxins natural hygienists recommend all water fasting. The results are such things as no need for deodorants & soaps, clear eyes, clear tongue, no need for toilet paper following a bowel movement.....in short a clean hygienic life free of chemical concoctions outside of what is already found in nature. > > Best always, Jim
Guest guest
, Thanks for your reply. Natural hygiene simply practices what is in nature as passed down by native populations since time millennium. What is best for any one individual is simply a matter of choice. My wife brews kabucha routinely, yet she respects my hygienic preference, water as the only drink/deodorant there is for me, with the exception of the indentured or otherwise invalid whose bodily functions gave out for other reasons , such as severe deficiency, toxicity, or enervation. As you may know there are several other heavy metals other than mercury, one of the most toxic being arsenic, found commonly in mineral rich seaweeds. So it is simply a matter of preference that I state that only pure water adequately cleanses our organs, including our skin, the largest organ in the human body. Guest guest
Hi, I agree with your opinion, with one addition, that true cleansing starts from the inside then out. Popular myth dictates that we must perfume or otherwise mask the natural given birth right smells we carry. One old practice for my tribe is that it is considered taboo to allow the sun or the moon see us dirty making it necessary to bathe/shower @ sunrise & sundown daily. This ancient taboo also reinforces the scientific notion that the pores of the skin excrete toxins that need to be rinsed/washed off. Immersing ourselves in water twice a day would eliminate lots of offensive smells. Its not supposed to be undetectable or unnoticeable by our beloved. IMO, people often forget how important personal aromas are. Did you know that most mothers can pick out their own children's worn tee shirts by smelling them? I understand all the theories about maintaining personal space by blanking off body aroma with perfumes and deodorant etc etc, but surely a relationship is two personal spaces that sometimes intedrmingle - if your fiance can't come to terms with your own natural aromas, I think that I would be looking for a new fiance! regards from edella (who couldn't bear to change the bed for over a month after her husband died) Well done is better than well said..., Jim Igo --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
