Re: osteoporosis meds +thyroid meds

I was on the Actonel and had to stop it due to a bubble feeling in my

chest that just would not go away. I took the once a week type for a while

and the daily type for a while as soon as I was upright in the morning. Then

waited 1/2 hour til it absorbed and then took the thyroid pill. Then waited

another hour til that absorbed to get something in my stomach and start my

day. In my case I started to feel as if the Actonel was still interfering

with my thyroid med even tho I waited in between. Little by little oer the 3

months I took it my TSH went up and I had (still have) all kinds of muscle

pain. Anyhoo, I trashed the Actonel and am now trying to get back on track

with my TSH. I don't even have osteo but there is a conflict-my gyn says take

it and my endo says not necessary. They each interpret the bmd tests

differently. I'll worry about that later on.

IMHO the once a week is best for us as the disruption and competition to

be first drug of the day is only once a week.
