Guest guest
> Does anyone know whether honey gathered by bees from pesticided areas are full of pesticides? I wonder if anyone has ever tested it. Apiaries surrounded by neighborhoods with sprayed flowers, or farmland with sprayed plants would have pesticides on their plants, in their soil to become systemic and in surrounding trees, not to mention spray drifting over to the apiary itself. Worried for nothing? Guest guest
I would be more worried about making sure they don't grow GMO's anywhere near the pollen is collected. GMO pollen is definitely something I would avoid. Not sure about the pesticides...The bees may die if they try collecting pollen from high pesticide sprayed plants as they are insects. - > > > > Does anyone know whether honey gathered by bees from pesticided areas > are full of pesticides? Guest guest
Local pollen is usually better as the plants in your area will be represented in the pollen, and thus impart to you nutrients and help in dealing with allergies to local flora as well. I would not buy pollen from a region you are not familiar with. Indeed I would rather buy Andrographis locally if I could, or at least organically, such as can be found form india. Start with one teaspoon mixed in food like cereal or soup. You can take two teaspoons twice a day usually. Try it out and see what your body does. Eat it off the spoon and notice it's complex almost sweet flavor, alot like a good vitamin. Rick [ ] Bee pollen I bought bee pollen from First Chinese a while back. The price was SO much more reasonable than locally. But I dont' really know how to use it. Does anyone know the dosage one should use?? I really don't know a lot about it, now that I come to consider using it. Its supposed to help the immune system, and with alleries. That's really not enough info to act on!! lol!! Thanks, jo
