Guest guest
Dear Forum, “It is not important how I got AIDS, but how am I living with it” – Ashok Pillai Indian Network for People Living with HIV/AIDS (INP+) still follows the ideologies of Ashok that keeps the organization recognized nationally and internationally. Ashok Pillai had a strong will to live every moment of his life for the benefit of others. He had accepted the reality and lived to the fullest instead of sitting in a corner and cursing the world. Hailing from Bareily in UP, Ashok joined NAVY in the department of Communication. Even during the hard times he faced after becoming the victim of the pandemic, he became a legend in the hearts all the community members. After five years of his demise, even today every individual of the family of Indian Network for People Living with HIV/AIDS (INP+) is inspired by his evergreen statement “It is not important how I got AIDS, but how am I living with it”. Today INP+ National Secretariat, Chennai holds a prayer to pay tribute to this legend on his fifth death anniversary at 4 pm in the office premises.
