Guest guest
I picked up an Agatha Christie last weekend, and lo and behold, one of the characters tends toward BPD. (At the very least, controlling and malicious). I thought it was interesting to read other characters' reactions to the BPD character-- how the " normal " people perceived her, and what they thought about the BPD's family members, who were all under her thumb. The hopelessness of her offspring, the schizophrenic tendencies of the youngest daughter in order to cope with the mother's controlling, the behavior of the woman who married into the family. I didn't find it triggering, like " Understanding the Borderline Mother " was, but more objective and clinical, in a way. In case you're interested, the book is " Appointment with Death " , starring Hercule Poirot.
