Sanitary worker According to official sources, the male patient, a sanitary worker, tested positive for HIV, when his relatives brought him for treatment after he fell ill. Subsequently, his relatives left him in a thatched shed near the burial ground a few days ago. Parents' refusal Following information from the public, revenue and health officials asked the patient's relatives to take care of him. But they refused. The abandonment of sanitory worker by his family indicates that we still are lagging far behind in awareness creation. This call on immediate response by state aids socity as well as need to strengthening integated counselling and testing centres.
