Aynthing could possibly be irradiated, and they are supposed to use a

little symbol but it would be a good choice to buy CA grown avocados

instead of ones from somewhere like Chile.

They had to cut back many avocado trees in San Diego this year though,

to save on water...so they may go up in price. That's where 90% of

them are grown in the US.

I planted two ~4-5 year old trees this year, a Hass and a Fuerte,

both almost 6 feet tall. Down the road if I'm still here I'll be

set...but for now there is a wonderful lady who treats me like her

grandson who has a huge ~80 year old tree that is just so abundant.

What part of CA are you located? I have noticed an abundance of avos from say

Ventura to Mexico, especially along the coastal foothills. I grew my grove here

in San Diego county.
