Guest guest
Friends, Is there anyway to remove those toxic flame retardants from kids car chairs/seats, etc...? Any suggestions on how to protect/remove/minimize exposure? Our beds are both used and older, so hopefully that helps, as are all our pillows, etc... We hope to make our own new pillows soon (local wool and buckwheat?). Any input, suggestions, etc... are appreciated! www.wholelifeco-op.com
Guest guest
The stats I've read say to wash synthetic sleepers at least 11 times to get off the antimony flame-retardant crud. I would suppose the same for car seats. There is a site out there that rates car seats for toxicity- but I didn't save the link. I can find it for you if you don't have luck googling. Unfortunately some seats that are rated safer in a crash and more economical (Britax Marathon) are some of the most toxic. I buy gently used car seats, too- and then have a car seat tech check them out. Desh
