Guest guest
Didn't raw milk become a bad guy because we went from small dairy farmers and localized purchase/delivery to big dairy industry? A new system where milk from ALL over is combined and distributed from one area and bad milk put in with good etc so that instead of a localized incident we end up with something on a drastic scale as one small portion of tainted milk in turn taints the entire batch. Also conditions of animals in HUGE farms are substandard to the family farm because of poor living conditions, poor nutrition etc. Then add psychological warfare to the mix and you have a society programmed to believe if it isn't cooked all to hell it's not safe. My mother is programmed, quite easily because of her upbringing but she doesn't think of the irony of the situation. My mother grew up drinking raw milk off her own farm but her parents had some awful farm management (non-existent) and did nothing for sanitation. For example: I remember growing up that their toilets flushed into the back yard/back porch because the plumbing to the septic system wasn't connected. I don't remember why, they lived in a shack really so maybe the septic was broken I don't know. But it gives me the serious creeps if I remember ANYTHING about that place. Anyway the irony is she never got sick from the milk OR the disease waiting to happen in the back porch. But to this day she barely drinks milk at all and won't go near my raw milk. I've read that when some big business wants to sell a new product they've created they first create a problem that their product helps to fix. Then they offer that solution and make great money. =) I've also read that's how government turns scary. Create the problem so that people will accept the " solution " which is what you wanted them to take in the first place. Children go missing? Solution is microchipping our children. The microchip makers are lobbying for this so they can make money and government likes it so they can keep an eye on " terrorists " . Does this really stop kidnappers, murders and child molesters? Of course not but we buy into the false safety because the government told us it would help keep our children safe. And as far as inspections, permits and codes keeping things safe and making sense.. well here's a story for you. My husband is an electrician. He works all over the Austin area right now doing commercial work for this mom and pop company that is able to take it on now solely because of him (too bad they don't pay what he's worth, maybe they can't). There is the national electric code (which he knows backwards and forwards) and then he also has to know all the codes for whatever city/county he's in. today his job failed inspection because of a " workmanship-ly appearance " is that a word??? Austin has some code that only 4 wires can go to a box no matter how that box is rated to be safe. It's ok to set up some UNSAFE and TERRIBLE looking fix so you can cram more wires in the box just so long as only 4 are there. And the reason for the rule is because it doesn't appear " workmanship-ly " and that's how it's written in the code. I have no confidence in Big Brother looking out for us or keeping us safe. I believe the original purpose may have been back in the day, or maybe we're just told that, but it's obviously not working and instead it works as a means for bloated corporations to sink their teeth into the populace and smash down any small time competitors. Speaking of which did anyone hear that bacon is banned in Las Angeles? It was on the Petlaw list I think but I'll have to double check.
