Guest guest
, I only use the lidocaine ointment and jelly but I've never had the injections. I know that I could never do it. The reason is b/c it gives me the creeps. Sorry that I can't be of more help. ===== Kristy http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences. __________________________________________________

Lidocain Injections Hi, I was looking for anyone who has had Lidocain Injections for vestibulitis. I have been using a hydrocortisone cream and Elavil which are helping a little bit. My doctor said the next step might be injections, but it sounds painful! I was wondering if anyone else may have had any experience with this? Thanks, *****END OF MESSAGE*****-------------------------------------------------To post message: VulvarDisorders To Subscribe: VulvarDisorders-subscribe Unsubscribe: VulvarDisorders-unsubscribe List owner: VulvarDisorders-owner *****
Guest guest
Hi , I have vulvodynia and I had quite a few injections around the whole vulva area. I don't want to scare you, but they hurt like......... They did not work for me so I just finally gave them up. Hope you get some relief. Guest guest
I had injections done about 4 weeks ago. I was having another procedure done so I was not conscious when they were done. She injected " marcane " , which is a long acting local anesthetic. She also injected a steroid, which I don't know the name. She injected a lot of this stuff at " 5:00 " and " 7:00 " which were the points the most sensitive to the q-tip test and less of the stuff at 10:00 and 2:00. Results: later that day(Friday) my vulvar pain came back pretty strong, and it lasted all day Saturday. On Sunday I started feeling much better and I had no pain at all for 8 days. What does that mean? Maybe nothing but my guess is that the local anesthetic did not work and the steroid did work. Warning: my doctor said that these injections are quite painful and she did not want to do them while I was awake as she did not want to hurt me that much. You should have a discussion with your doctor of that issue. Also, I don't know about lidocaine but if it only lasts a short time what's the good? See if you can get a long acting local anesthetic. > > Message: 14 > Date: Sat, 27 Oct 2001 23:32:25 EDT > From: bubba2613@... > Subject: Lidocain Injections > > Hi, > I was looking for anyone who has had Lidocain Injections for > vestibulitis.
