Note that I put " no position " on raw milk for Kucinich. It had

previously been stated on this list that Kucinich favors the right to

raw milk. However, I could not verify this. Instead, I found a

number of animal rights activists supporting Kucinich who were members

of the activist forum on his web site and were furious and/or

disappointed that he would do anything to support the consumption of

dairy.

This was due to a rumor circulated by Cohen of notmilk.com

that he cosponsored Ron 's bill to legalize the interstate

transport of raw milk. One activist from the site researched this and

concluded that it was false, based on the fact that govtrack.us and

thomas.gov show no cosponsors, and she called Ron 's office to

verify that Kucinich had not offered any support for the bill.

The Kucinich supporters on his web site seemed very vegan, and

certainly seemed to regard Kunich's veganism as a political position

and his campaign as part of a vegan political movement. They had

little respect for the rumor that Kucinich was supporting the raw milk

bill on constitutional grounds.
