Guest guest Posted May 24, 2008 Report Share Posted May 24, 2008 This morning a wonderful cookbook arrived - its called Lobscouse & spotted dog, and is a cookbook of the georgian period. Its based on the foods mentioned in the many naval novels of O'Brien. I got it as a 2nd hand copy for not much expense at all. Its a lovely background book for this time period, and an accurate description of food preparation before the industrial revolutions changed food forever.
