Whatever happened to old fashioned spotters? -- I will say that unless one is in some kind of daily, personal dynamic, be it marriage or monasticism, one will never truly see themselves. Like it or not in either of these situations there is inescapable feedback on one's character and choices...There is a built in reality gauge in living in an intimate vowed relationship that cannot be simulated otherwise. -Anonymous

Well, , as you know, you usually have to have two if not three spotters to spot a heavy back squat and, even then, you are not going to usually find that many available people in the gym who REALLY know how to spot (an art form in its own right). However, I have an even better solution for someone with this dilemma....DO FRONT SQUATS. If you ever get stuck at the bottom, you can just lean forward and dump the weights AND much less pressure on the back. -
