Delhi SACS looking Graduate HIV + to place as ICTC counsellors

Dear All Members ,

It is great step from Mauritious , which allow foreigners with

HIV/AIDS to marry local women.There are thousand and thousand people

who are working in the field of HIV/AIDS in the name of HIV infection

but there are hardly HIV + people at ICTC , ART , Drop-in-Centre ,

STD clinic or other direct outlet services of NACO or SACS ( State

AIDS Control Society ) .

We are advocating to support PLWHA , we are saying we should care

them , we are advocating for Right to work , Right to Live and so on

but where are PLWHA , why they are working at network level or NGO

level only , why they are can not be eligible for NACO or SACS post.

Last week I was in Xavier Institute of Management , Bhubhneswar for

LAMP (Leadership and Managerial Proficiency) graduation ceremony.

This course was for 6 weeks designed for PLWHA, It was pleasnet to

spend 4 days with group of people who completed there course

successfully while discussion with them , found most of have many

complaints towards NACO and SACS. Out of Many, one of them was they

do not get proper information regarding SACS vacancy and although

NACO / SACS mention everywhere that PLWHA will be given preference ,

but still people can not get through.It was one of the wonderful

memory to spend four days with PLWHA , who are full of energy and

vision for there brother / sister or Network. I appreciate XIMB and

UNDP efforts for this Nobel cause.

Today I am taking this opportunity using this e-platform to convey

message and spread information to all those people who are infected

or affected by HIV + , and are in Delhi / Delhi NCR , having

Graduation in any field can apply in DSACS for counsellors post (

Integrated Counselling and Testing Centres ) salary will be Rs.6500

to 10000/ they can send email at delhisacs@... , if they are

10th or 12 pass they can apply for community outreach worker , DSACS

will require around 50 community outreach worker , salary will be

Rs.3000 / - per month .Soon there will be vacancy for District

Supervisors too.

We would like to request all members and whoever is reading this mail

ask friends , network to motivate PLWHA who are eligible to send

email and come for interview on 19th for counsellors and 20th for Lab

technicians .For outreach workers can send email at

We would like to set a model where elegible PLWHA are working in ICTC

under Delhi State AIDS Control Society, and setting a flagship

programme for entire country.Supporting PLWHA by giving Job will

reduce stigma and discrimination.

How we can forget that " Life does not STOP with HIV " , on occasion

of Independence Day can we start a global fight campaign " Freedom

from Disease " , please ask all PLWHA to apply as soon as possible.
