Guest guest
So now that you folks have reminded me that I always used to do deep squats, I did them Saturday and realized why I automatically started going parallel when I started here: This gym does not have an adjustable squatting cage, but just has a squatting rack with two or three places for the barbell and one set of perpendicular bars on the sides. So, the only way I can go significantly under parallel is to step out of the rack. That's what I did, but I'm concerned that it might be dangerous when I get to using heavier weight. I'm not sure if I've ever failed to bring up a squat -- if so, it happened very very rarely. However, it is nice to know I have a back door there if you know what I mean. Any thoughts?
