Guest guest
Hi, I know that there are more bad docs than good ones. I know it sucks, but you just have to keep searching for the right one. Don't let anyone tell you nothing is wrong if you that something is wrong. Did they even check your hormones?? I'm on Depo and when the 12 weeks is coming up and I need another shot, my vulva hurts even more, so I think that hormones can mess you up, they can change the pH of discharge. Keep searching! Guest guest
Lynn, Sorry about what you are going thru. I will be glad to tell you how I found the gyn that I currently have (I've had her for almost 3 years now). E-mail me off the list to remind me that I need to do that and I will do that later tonight for you. ((((Hugs)))), ===== Kristy http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I'm sorry you had such a frustrating experience with that doc, he obviously didn't want to make your pain any less. He just wouldn't believe that he was seeing something he didn't understand or know how to treat. Lynn how far are you willing to travel? I know of two places in Texas and one in California that will listen to you and be serious about getting you some hormonal treatment. Send me an email if you would like contact info. in SF > Ok--I drove the 2.5 hours to yet ANOTHER gyn yesterday. I told him > all my problems and he looked at my vulvar area and inside the > vagina. Guest guest
Lynn, that sucks. I am sorry you wasted your time, money and energy on yet another doctor with preconceived notions. Ugh. Have you checked out the North American Menopause Society website? (I'm pretty sure it's www.menopause.org) They have a list of member practioners by state, plus they highlight the members who have taken and passed a test administered by NAMS. Sigh. I wish your visit had been more fruitful than that. Love, Suzy __________________________________________________
