That is just SICK. I know how you can reduce c-sections. First stop

thinking of " due dates " as expiration dates. Let

women go into labor for REAL. Stop using pitocin and checking their

progress with internal exams every 30 min and continuously monitoring their

every moment. Let a mother....move,

dance, labor and enjoy.

Take a moment to look at a women's face and you will see if she is

progressing well.

AUGH....don't get me started.

If you have an OB the suggests this during pregnancy than I would

immediately RUN from that doctor.

My OB was good last time. Was fine with no vaccines for me or baby, no

epidural. Only complaint is he does have rough hands and it kept freaking

me out when he checked out far along I was dialated. He knew I wouldn't

take birth control pills so didn't even try to discuss that though he did

want me to try that insert thing with the copper. I said no because I read

it can cause cysts on the ovaries which I already have/had a problem with

due to the PCOS.

He also helped me heal well from the c-section when the wound ruptured. I

would like to get healthier though so im not a high risk pregnancy and can

hopefully do the homebirth I wanted with .

Sounds like a great doc......except those internals....I hate them too.

More painful to me than labor and delivery. So I just don't allow them AT

ALL anymore.

I am a 3x VBAC (2 HBAC's) and planning my 3rd HBAC for this December. :)

It CAN be done. :)

Blessings,

Thanks, ! He and the other OB I saw at first say I'm a c-section for

lifer. I refuse to believe it but it has DH worried.

They say my pelvis is too narrow and the baby's head was way too big but I

am hoping if I get the insulin resistance under control and don't eat any

sweets when pregnant next time the baby won't be so huge. His head was 15

cm or something like that.

The internal checks were the most awful thing!! I was fine and relaxed and

the pain he'd cause me checking was unbelievable! The last one he did while

I was having the constant contactions I think I screamed. I remember the

nurse checking me when I first came in and it didn't hurt nearly as bad.

Maybe I need a female OB with smaller hands. =)

He got a bit frustrated with me the last time I remember him saying that I

should take the epidural because if his hand hurt that bad wait until the

baby's head comes. That didn't help my anxiety at all!

I'm so glad that since I moved I found a nice practice of midwives who run a

birth center (which is actually a little cottage - its really cute!) They

do home birth but since we no longer have our own place we're going to the

cottage. I'm so glad I'm getting the out-of-hospital birth I wanted (as

long as I remain low risk - which I still am to date!).

Treasure these freedoms. They're coming under fire:

I was fortunate to be able to birth my last one at home, but I found out

today that the m/w who cared for me during my pg is no longer doing

homebirths. :(

Well that may explain why I couldn't find anyone to homebirth in my prior

location.

Such a pity...

There is one of those here but due to my " high risk " status they wouldn't

take me on.

Congrats! I hope it goes easy for you and that you enjoy your first moments

with your baby as much as I did! I don't remember mine so well due to the

surgery but I can remember a lot of it. I thought my heart would burst when

I saw how beautiful he is!

I got this link on another group today, figured I'd forward it since it was

mentioned here.

Are they kindding??? This is ridiculous. I feel like I'm back in Soviet

Russia!!!!

We had a home birth and it was awesome! I don't see why a healthy woman with

very low-

risk uncomplicated pregnancy would be forced to go to the hospital (well, except

for the

financial gains for someone, of course). This is the dumbest thing.

There is something tragicomic in this, in that it is currently

recommended women of childbearing age avoid statins because it is

acknowledged that they can cause birth defects.
