Guest guest
Patty, according to the WAP web site, they no longer recommend Carlson's because the vitamin A content is too low, NOT because it's had synthetic vitamins added: http://www.westonaprice.org/faq.html#clo *Q. Is Carslon's a good brand of cod liver oil?* A. We no longer recommend Carlson's because the vitamin A content is too low. Guest guest
I very much appreciate the clarification because somebody posted the info I put here on mercola with the link and I'll admit, I did not know about the faq. Thanks again, and I will pass this on to other people. --- In , " Alan " <alanmjones@...> wrote: Patty, according to the WAP web site, they no longer recommend Carlson's because the vitamin A content is too low, NOT because it's had synthetic vitamins added: http://www.westonaprice.org/faq.html#clo *Q. Guest guest
I was doing the math and the Carlson's isn't cheaper than Green Pastures based on the fact that you have to take 4+ times the amount to get the same Vit A. So even if I buy it on Iherb for $26 per bottle (16 ounces) it lasts as long as the $23.00 bottle from Green Pastures. And if I save up and buy in bulk or get those in my area to buy with me we save more. Have you asked in your local WAPF chaper or native nutrition local group if they do group orders? Green pasture's Label Info Item Amount Per Serving %DV Vitamin A 5750 IU's 115% Vitamin D 575 IU's 140% EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) 145-375 mg * DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) 150-360 mg * Total Omega 3 oils 480-1800 mg 115% Vitamin A under 4 years 1/4 tsp 2875 IU's 115% I haven't looked at Dr. Ron's.
