Guest guest
Hi, I come from a fasting school of thought to regain proper homeostasis through abstinence, rest, & self healing. So in that regard there is no such thing as a cure, a treatment, etc. Still I find pH an interesting marker. Remember reading that citrus, an acid fruit ironically becomes wonderfully alkaline when it is metabolized in the system. Also take mouth ulcers for example, commonly known as canker sores, acid irratation a sensation on the canker is actually more benificial than harmful? Something about the astringent quality it has on the canker, etc. Was reading a new book called, Alcohol Can Be a Gas, by Blume, & found his ph scale interesting. Excess acid will burn holes in things like battery acid & so will excess alkalinity that is more like draino. Litmus paper strips are the easiest way to keep track of pH that I am aware. pH around 7 is the safe bet. I've read they're caused by h. pylori, in which case s. boulardii would be a good treatment, works well according to the Brits. It's a natural yeast. Many health folks have said that over acidity is almost never the problem, in many cases it's under acidity and using some vinegar or something acid with food will help but in the case of an ulcer I think that would be painful. > > Hi, > > My sister suffers from acidity. Guest guest
I suggest clay. It coats the stomach and neutralizes the acid.
