Guest guest
well that gives me hope anyway, lately I have been feeling as though I am going to have to except this as never ending. Did you have vulvadynia or vestibulitis? What worked for you? I seem to have afew good weeks even months then it gets really bad again, like right now. Estrace seemed to help, now it seems to be doing nothing. I am bright red again except just after showering when it looks fairly normal. I am trying the steroid creme I have always put it to the side out of fear but it isn't irritating me anymore than the estrace at this point so I am alternating them. I actually tried to put one on each side of the labia to see if there was a difference kinda hard, all my irritation is inside the minora in the moist areas. tell me again that there is hope!! Did it just go away or did you find a medicine? Do you know what else would cause hyperkerotonized cells besides atrophy?? thanks for letting me quiz you, knowledge is my only power! Guest guest
Mine went away because I don't eat gluten containing grains, dairy, or yeast foods. It is really that simple. Other have found that they had strange breeds of yeast growing and if the yeast was controlled or cured they didn't haved a problem. Some have found that estrace use cured their problem. I think some had desquamative vaginitis, or bacterial vaginitis. One girl said that she discovered that she didn't have enough fatty acids in her diet because she didn't eat fat. There are different reasons for the answer just as there are different causes and symptoms. I don't think we all have the same thing. I think we all have to try to find a lot of our own answers. The docs don't seem to be very good at solving this problem. Arline Are you on a special diet? How is yours totally gone, what did you do to get it to go away? Guest guest
So, you actually know people that were cured from the estrace? My doctor told me it the method she uses cures 4 out 5 woman, it just doesn't seem like it would work, youknow? It is like you want a it to work right away, and then when you start feeling bad again, you get bummed. Thanks for the info. grandy grandy wrote: Mine went away because I don't eat gluten containing grains, dairy, or yeast foods. Guest guest
I think there is a good chance that the hyperkeratinized cells are simply caused by damage to the skin and the constant inflammation or exposure to whatever is causing the damage simply makes that happen. I have hyperkeratinized cells on my hands from sun damage. It is a good start to try to figure out what may have damaged your vulvar skin. The term " Vulvadynia " is not a diagnosis. It is simply a word that means " vulvar pain " and it can be caused by any number of reasons. I wish the doctors wouldn't put these silly names on things because it just confuses the issue and we go away thinking that at last I have been diagnosed and you really haven't. This is intentional to pacify the cattle. (us being the cattle). I didn't have vestibulitis. I think that is basically swollen glands, isn't it. Maybe the answer is to try to figure out what causes them to swell. When I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia I was so relieved because now I had a real disease and that justified how really sick I had been for so long and now I can do something to fix it. WRONG! They said to live with it and if I complained they gave me another pill that I didn't take very long because it didn't help. It just means " Muscle Pain " . It just means " Keep coming back " . I don't have that any more either. I had what was diagnosed as Lichen Sclerosis with 12 biopsies which was whitened vulvar and anal skin, burning, itching, (mostly burning), atrophy, fusing, blistering, blood blisters, pain, odor and I will add that it happened after a yeast infection after an antibiotic and overuse of over the counter antifungals. The steroid creams made it worse. The doctor that first saw me knew I was a dead duck with advanced cancer. I told them I didn't have cancer and that I was allergic to the antifungals and that the whiteness would go away if I could stop the yeast infections. It had several times before. I think I am also allergic to the yeast that hangs around the vaginal area all the time even when we don't have a yeast infection. I use an anti fungal soap once a day for good measure. I simply don't eat grains, dairy, and yeast foods. I NEVER knowingly eat gluten containing grains. Sometimes I intentionally eat some cheese but not very much and chocolate if it doesn't have gluten in it occasionally. When I do I can tell by the way my vulvar skin reacts itching, pain, burning and probably the whiteness would come back with all of the rest of it if I continued to regularly eat the stuff. My labial lips and clitoris have unfused and grown back. I am pretty normal there. My diet was all of it--all of my considerable health problems.
