Guest guest
Dear Forum, The sad demise of the male counselor of Jabalpur VCCTC Mr. Sanjay Shrivastav compels us to stop, and think for some moments towards the risk which all the contractual employees working under the National AIDS Control Programme face. It is not that employees under other programmes or in private sector do not face any risk. The contractual employees like counsellors, lab technicians and many post in the AIDS Control Society are exposed to various kind of risks. The salary is low and the jobs are demanding. The least we can do on this sad occassion of death of Mr. Sanjay Shrivastav is to start a movement, demanding some kind of insurance cover for all the employees under the National AIDS Control Programe. We are sure that when ever any of us just thinks of the pain that the family of Mr. Sanjay Shrivastav would be undergoing, we will realise that the monetary support in form of insurance would have been the least which a program could have done for its employees. But, as of now there is nothing like that. Regards CGAIDS Group e-mail: <cgaidsgroup@...>
