Guest guest
Sheri -- Thank you for your reply. Do you have any books on children with illness to recommend? We're big on books -- and this might help and her sister (maybe, me, too!).-D --- Sheri Hester wrote: Get books on > children > dealing with illnesses so she knows she's not alone. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
DeEtte, Sorry so long before I replied -- I " checked out " of email this weekend..! I do have a book that Tyler seemed to really like and ask questions along the way - but I can't think of the name of it. I'll look at it at home tonight and email it to you tomorrow. I think it's something like, " When Will I Feel Better " or something like that.. I'll get you the particulars tomorrow. Sheri --- DeEtte Person wrote: > Sheri -- Thank you for your reply. Guest guest
A few books that Tyler really got into... " When Will I Feel Better " -- by Robin Prince Monroe - this is more of a story/journal in that it gets the kids to draw or talk about their feelings about being sick. And a couple of Dr. Seuss encouragers... " Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are? " - with Tyler, during the bad stuff we've always had a little joke -- well it could be worse... and we think of things that could make the situation worse... like, well it could be snowing outside and I " m missing all the fun (it never snows here - except a couple of weeks ago!), or I could be somewhere where there's nothing to make me better at all - wherease at least where I'm at I have people to love me and take care of me... it's amazing what he could come up with - and this story is just a good little mind release! " Oh, the Places You'll Go! " -- this is a great story - tells of the ups and downs of life and how you'll go places during the ups and the downs. I've always encouraged Tyler to do all he wanted to do, and this is a great inspirational book. I hope these help. Sheri --- DeEtte Person wrote: > Sheri -- Thank you for your reply.
