Advertisement for the Post of Research Officer

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and the Population

Foundation of India, New Delhi has launched a special study titled

Evolving Peer Treatment Education Approaches in the Networks of

People Living with HIV/AIDS. It is recognized that Peer education is

an essential component in the Global Fund Round4 HIV/AIDS

programme " Access to Care and Treatment (ACT) " . The study attempts

to review and strengthen the existing peer education approaches on

access to services, treatment and adherence. The entire data

collection effort would be through state level consultative

workshops in six high prevalence states (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka,

Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Manipur, and Nagaland) where ACT programme

is currently implemented.

Location: The Research Officer would be based in TISS, Mumbai

Duration of Appointment: Short-term

Qualification: Master's degree in Social Work, Social Sciences,

Health or Development field (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of

research experience in the relevant sector. The post requires a

strong commitment to HIV/AIDS and development work, excellent

writing and computer skills.

Job Summary:

The incumbent would be responsible for the research and

documentation related work such as review of literature, data

editing, data analysis and report writing and preparing references

etc.

Salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
