Guest guest
Pain with an empty stomach sounds more like an ulcer. I've read they're caused by h. pylori, in which case s. boulardii would be a good treatment, works well according to the Brits. It's a natural yeast. Many health folks have said that over acidity is almost never the problem, in many cases it's under acidity and using some vinegar or something acid with food will help but in the case of an ulcer I think that would be painful. > > Hi, > > My sister suffers from acidity. Guest guest
I second the thought that you need to watch out for an ulcer/ulcers. Bone stock is wonderful for helping repair all sorts of stomach/digestion issues. I was once on Nexium and through improved diet and lots of bone stock, occasional soup fasting, etc... was able to completely heal the ulcers and be totally off meds for years and years now. My doctor was pretty amazed as he thought that I would be on the drugs...well, forever! A soup/bone stock with good fats and some herbs (ginger, etc...) to help kill off bad bacteria/yeast/fungus and heal the digestive lining is a wonderful way to go, and very NN in style as many people groups have times of year that their digestive systems get some rest and repair. We also have a few other families whom no longer suffer similar digestive pain/acidity through similar protocols. Rubin's book " Restoring your Digestive Health " with Brasco is very good overall, though Rubin himself could be taken to task on a number of levels. Guest guest
Hi Suman, Many are not really aware that natural hygiene allows for meat & dairy, largely due to the exploitation of raw foodists. Check with Dr. Bass for a more complete story. Also Weston A. Price knew a lot about natural hygiene, & that is how I got familiar with his writtings back in the day. From what I know, fasting-resting-relearning heals by removing the cause, rather than trying to diagnose, treat, attack or kill the cause, as those invasive methods always lead toward inervation, deficiency, & toxicity. Nature cures the doctor simply collects the bill. Assuming the individual was able to fast the cause out of her, then I personally would suggest an easy to digest breakfast of fruit & some protein, lunch heavy in whole food carbs because they take the longest to digest & are needed for the most active part of the day, then your main protein, fat & vegetable meal in the evening. Drink only water at times other than meals, stay clear of spices, condements, vinegars, oils, & ferments until a true homeostatic balance is achieved & the cause is effectively removed. Thanks in advance, Suman. Well done is better than well said..., Jim Igo

You may be interested in this 60 page pdf explaining how the body becomes acid & why, and how to go about correcting it. Basically says that digestion of protein causes acidity & you need enough minerals buffer it. Specifically explains about ulcers & other symptoms of acidity. http://www.newtreatments.org/fromweb/newbiology.pdf Jewel
