Hi Vijay,

Here is Dr. Ron's response.

---------------------------------------------

Suze forwarded Vijay's question about my Lyme disease to me, so here is an

update. I contracted Lyme nearly six years ago. I have continued to deal

with my Lyme with a very strict diet (currently lots of top quality animal

foods, green salads and steamed green vegetables, and fermented vegetables -

and almost nothing else) and supplements (liberal doses of high-vitamin CLO,

X-Factor, Iodine and Oregano, among other supplements and complimentary

therapies); I have never taken antibiotics. Most of the time I am completely

symptom free, but a couple of times a year I get a bit off my program and

then I may have a few days where I feel it acutely. Lyme is still there, no

question about it.

Lyme disease has been a rigorous and demanding teacher for me. I

believe there are lessons in this disease, some of which I've yet to learn,

that will stand me well for the rest of my life. I have a sense that in some

way it will ultimately make me stronger. It's been important for me to

accept that Lyme disease is an important part of the larger scheme of my

path in life.

I do suggest that anyone who discovers they have Lyme within the

first month or so of getting it should take antibiotics, but I've learned

from many of my patients that antibiotics are usually futile once the

disease is established. People who catch it early however, often appear to

be able to eradicate it with antibiotics.

I know how difficult Lyme disease is for many people. I wish those

of you who are dealing with this problem the very best.

Regards,

Ron
