Guest guest
I got a new 100% cotton futon mattress when I moved. Since I could not afford any of the " medical " mattresses that are free of flame retardants, I choose a mattress that was treated with boric acid instead of some of the more toxic options. However, I find as the mattress breaks in it seems to get on the sheets and this irritates my skin. So far, the best way I've found to manage this is to wash the sheets every few days. Is there anything else I can do? Also, the grandmom-to-bes have been buzzing around buying lots of baby clothing - is there anything I can wash them in to remove the flame retardants? Thanks!
