Guest guest
i just want to add that i am VERY HAPPY to see this as a topic for our discussion. quality over quantity is something many of us are taught throughout school and life, and then when it comes to applying it to our very own lives many of us inexplicably fail. this appauls me. everyone out there just seems interested in how old someone was when they died, rather than the quality of those last few years. my very own grandfather is a prime example. i loved the man, dont get me wrong. at the same time, though, i completely acknowledge that his somewhat young death was all but avoidable. he was a diabetic who up until his last living day consumed silly amounts of sweets like sugar-free cookies, ice creams, etc. he was a known diabetic for the last probably 20 years of his life. more than enough time to address the issue. i DO believe that the overall corruption and establishment of our medical industry is to blame for misinforming him but he also is partly to blame. he may not have realized the benefits of a high-protein, low-to-no carbohydrate diet, but he most definatly DID at least know that cookies, etc were not helping the matter. ok, just had to vent there. anyway, great discussion guys, i love this forum. -- " A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have.
