Guest guest
Greetings, I've been hearing talk about this group on GFCFNN (Gluten-free, casein-free Native Nutrition). Religion and politics are forbidden topics there, so if nobody minds I'd like to come over here for those issues. I live in Philadelphia with my wife, 3 daughters and 3 chickens. My oldest daughter is turning five this week. I have gluten and casein intolerance, and I think my girls might have it too. Over a period of 2 years I went through a series of food eliminations, starting with dairy, then wheat, then all gluten, then all grains. I eliminated all starches and sugars, so I don't eat nuts or beans either. I cheat occasionally to eat berries in season, but I think I have candida issues. I also eliminated caffeine, alcohol and yeast. My diet consists of raw and cooked meat and eggs, salad, parsley, sauerkraut, beet kvass, coconut, and a few other fermented items. Nourishing Traditions was a lifesaver for me, but being at home with the kids, sometimes cooking all the time gets overwhelming. I converted to the Roman Catholic church about 5 years ago. Before that I was an agnostic, an empiricist, and sometimes a neo-pagan. I was brought up by bitter secularists. I have some books I'd like to talk about. I will describe them in a subsequent post. - Mike
