Guest guest
By far, one of my best ghetto TF creative kitchen moments was my po' folks milk skimmer. I bought a glass tea jar with a spigot at the bottom for about 5 bucks (examine the spigots in the store- often they are leaky). Drain the milk out of the spigot, save the cream. . . . much easier than the ladel if you have limited kitchen time and skim milk every week. I get my milk Monday afternoons and it is usually milked Monday morning. It separates out by Monday night often. If you wait too long to skim the milk, the cream thickens into double cream. After 2 weeks it is almost as thick as butter. However, I find that the very top of the cream can develop off flavors from the refridgerator, even with the lids tight. I shake the milk occaisionally when I don't find the time to skim it right away (sometimes I get 10 gallons for projects hth Desh ____________________________________________________________ Enter for Your Chance to WIN* The TotalBeauty.com Summer Spa Sweepstakes! http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/JKFkuJi7UfiLqJQkj1Cyd0Yn5zOgoXXMqqSW\ M9uuUq4Uxy9hw0Ddvo/
