They're probably talking about the fermented type (called " ripened " or shou), not the green version. I'd suggest trying the tea plain before making a large batch of kombucha, as it doesn't really taste like normal tea. Another thing to keep in mind is that this is a mold ferment utilizing Aspergillus and Penicillum so if you are sensitive to either you should probably avoid it. -Lana " There is nothing more useful than sun and salt.
