Guest guest
Hi, Hep C has no proven vaccine, it is considered chronic & " non-curable " . It is transfered by blood to blood, like using or sharing dirty needles. Common in foreign countries that try to cut back on medical cost. An unusually high incident of Hep C is reported out of Mexico City, for example. My spouse got diagnosed with it decades ago & it has never progressed the way you hear about IV recreational drug users have. So even though she carries HCV, I have never contracted it sexually or otherwise according to blood test & other possible signs or symptoms. I suspect most of us are simply immune to it. I would not recommend sexual activity during a menses just in case he had dry cracked skin that could bleed easily, other wise the C variety is not transmitted sexually, that would be the B variety, if my memory serves me correctly. Both A & B or food & sex varieties do report effective immunizations, as I understood, personally I would scope out alternative prevention, etc. as well as a good understanding of all the possible/associated side effects, then decline such immunizations. Well done is better than well said..., Jim Igo From: naomilovestom <nsnider@...> Subject: Hepatitis C and Vaccine Date: Tuesday, July 8, 2008, 4:20 AM I have recently learned about my husband's hepatitis C and am being encouraged by health department to be tested for it and to take a series of vaccines that will prevent me from getting it. Does anyone know anything about this, and how this might affect me? I am frankly quite frightened. Naomi
Guest guest
I'm sorry, I meant Hepatitis B, not C. I know there's no vaccine for C. I had blood drawn yesterday to be tested. They wanted to start vaccines while I was there, but I want to see test results first. I was told that if I test positive for B that the vaccines will not help, they are good for treating only the A. I am just wary of putting anything like that into my body when I don't know anything about it, and if there is alternative treatment I want to know. The vaccine is really only preventative. Guest guest
Hello, My understanding with Hepatitis is that trace minerals sufficiency can help you clear the virus- selenium deficiency is indicated with trouble fighting off viruses in general in our population- much of our soil is deficient. IIRC Pizzorno MD, ND speaks of hep. also in his Natural Health Encyclopedia- at least I think that's where I read it. I have friends who have cleared all varieties of Hep, and friends who have died from C. Good luck, get reading, try to get sufficient in antivirals while you read. It is a real test of your theory of disease. I have stared down that barrel after a feral animal attacked my child- it's a hard one.
