Guest guest Posted January 24, 2008 Report Share Posted January 24, 2008 yesterday i bought mac nut oil for the first time. the flavor is mild. i like olive oil more. interested to see what some of you know/think about mac nut oil from a health perspective. and then on to nut butters. i bought some walnut butter. it is delicious. the nuts are NOT sprouted/soaked prior to mashing though. so, im thinking bout phytic acid, etc. also, just wondering about eating nuts vs. nut butters. i mean, i wonder if the amount of actual nuts you are consuming when usually eating butters is just too much for us to properly metabolize. i just feel like its a bit much for our system. i mean, thats a lot of fat at one sitting. i eat lots of fat, love it and believe that the right fats are totally and completely good for us, but with Tsps of nutbutters is it just too much.
