Actually I think it is incredibly naive to rule out the possibility of

this happening. I don't know if it's likely to come in a direct

mandate like that, more likely they will continue trying to run them

out of business, but it is not inconceivable that under the pretense

of protecting against mad cow or avian flu or some such thing, they

shut them down altogether as some emergency measure, especially since

they are registering all animals in a national tracking database under

NAIS.

What happens when you register things? They get taken away. They

have registered certain types of guns before, and then after everyone

was registered, they banned them and instituted an effective recall

because they had tabs on all of the law-abiding citizens who possessed

them (though obviously they couldn't take them out of the hands of

criminals who failed to register...).

So, what exactly does anyone think they will do with your animals once

they register them?

Some economists are predicting the stagflation we saw in the 1970s.

The dollar is crumbling, so overinflation is not a very far-out

scenario either.

I agree that restrictions and government takeover are scary ideas, but I think

that it is

necessary to realize where the push for these actions come from. Its corporate

America, big

agricultural lobbies that want to keep competition down, force processed food

down our

throats, and make billions of dollars off of us.

Money is always the motivator.

Too true... our state is trying to push mandatory HPV vaccines on

middle aged girls... and even our representative states that the

number one reason appears to be big phrama pushing them on the

legislatures/schools... makes one very mad and sad at the same

time... and hopefully reminds us how important what WAPF and other

groups are doing is...
